Within 5 miles of Parkfoot is the delightful village of Ingleton, an historic village in the Yorkshire Dales. Ingleton has been a well-known tourist centre for over a century with its famous Ingleton Waterfalls trail, the dramatic caves of White Scar Cave and Ingleborough Cave, the riverside open air swimming pool, historic landmark viaduct as well as an array of wonderful, individual shops, cafes and restaurants.

Open for around three months during the summer season from the end of May until early September, the pool has recently been improved and modernised and is a popular attraction with both locals and visitors.

White Scar Cave

Ingleborough Cave

Tours of the Cave, running for more than 175 years, leave at regular intervals with an expert guide to help interpret the many fascinating features you will see. Discrete lighting displays the calcite flows, stalactites, and stalagmites at their very best. Ingleton Waterfalls Trail

The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail boasts some of the most spectacular waterfalls in England. Set amongst beautiful woodland scenery the trail provides breath-taking views of the waterfalls, river and pools as well as offering opportunities to see a variety of important plants, wildlife and geology. The trail is well defined and is 4 miles (8km) long, taking around 2-4 hours to walk. More info here.
